PE Intent Statement
Here at St Aidan’s our physical education curriculum is delivered with the aim of inspiring all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically-demanding activities. We provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. Opportunities are created for children to compete in sport and other activities which build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect. We aim to provide activities for the children to develop competence to participate and excel in a broad range of physical activities, creating opportunity for them to be physically active for sustained periods of time. Ultimately our aim is for our children to lead healthy, active lives.
