PSHE
PERSONAL, SOCIAL, HEALTH & ECONOMIC EDUCATION
A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because her trust is not on the branch itself but on her own wings. Always believe in yourself.

Personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education is an important and necessary part of all pupils’ education. At St Aidan’s we embed PSHE into all we do, drawing on Jesus’ teachings to help. We follow Live life to the full PSHE scheme of work for a weekly lesson, but this is only part of what we do here. Our main aim is to nurture our children’s whole self, morally, spiritually and academically.
STATEMENTS TO LIVE BY
Our PSHE curriculum is underpinned by our Statements To Live By. The statements allow us to explore how we live out our school ethos and promote living our faith, celebrating equality and diversity and promoting British Values. We live out our school ethos and mission statement in all that we do. Each week we focus on a different statement to:
-
appreciate and value each other and know that we are all different and all special because of our differences
-
know the difference between right and wrong
-
learn how to help ourselves and each other when someone is in trouble
-
appreciate the beauty and the wonder of the world around us
We even made some radio programmes to show you how we discuss them.
Please look through the materials at the bottom of this page to learn more about our Statements To Live By. You can also find each weekly statement at the top of our weekly newsletters.
